When it comes to printing your coloring pages from home, the paper that you use is a big factor in how your coloring will go and how the lines of the coloring page will show up. I wanted to share with you my recommendations and my GO TO paper I use when I print and color at home!

PAPER:

A good rule of thumb is to always print your coloring page on bright white heavy card stock paper. You want it to be bright white so that the colors show up vibrant and accurate. You want the paper to be thick and heavier than print paper so that your colors don’t bleed over the lines or run through the page (only applies to alcohol markers). If you use colored pencils, then the paper isn’t as important. The paper weight I like the best is 80lb cover, BUT pay attention to your printer because some printers might have a limit of paper weight they can handle. If you’re unsure, just google your printer and see what paper specifications it can print on! When you print as well, make sure that you change your printer settings so it is printing in HIGH quality and not standard or low. Most printers default to standard. I change my print quality to high every time and it makes a difference because then the black lines will be BLACK whereas with standard quality, the lines are more GRAY and don’t look good when coloring.

My specific recommendations for paper are:

-Creebe 80lb thick white card stock

-Astrobrights 65lb bright white card stock
